- Top-Grain Leather
Features: Top-grain leather is made from the outermost layer of the hide. It is water-resistant, durable, glossy, and evenly colored, making it ideal for various leather products.
Care: Avoid scratching with hard objects. Use a soft cloth to remove surface dust every two to three days. Clean and condition with leather oil or wax.
- Calfskin
Features: Made from the hides of young calves, calfskin is rare, luxurious, and expensive. It has a fine, delicate texture and is thin yet glossy.
Care: Use leather cream or wax, and clean dust from the surface with a soft cloth.
- Glossy Leather & Patent Leather
Features: Glossy leather has a resin coating with added pearlescent or metallic powder, creating a shimmering effect. Patent leather has a similar coating but with variations in finish.
Care: Avoid wearing in temperatures below 5°C (41°F); 10°C (50°F) or higher is ideal to prevent cracking. Do not use gloss agents, as they can cause the coating to peel off.
- Lacquered Leather
Features: Lacquered leather is treated with high-gloss lacquer or crystal finishes, giving it a firm texture and uniform color, perfect for trendy and stylish leather goods.
Care: Avoid scratches from hard or rough surfaces. Clean with a soft cloth, and do not use leather cream or wax.
- Dyed or Waxed Leather
Features: Waxed leather is minimally treated with only dye and a wax polish, leaving the natural grain visible and giving it a smooth, textured feel.
Care: These untreated leathers absorb moisture and stains easily, especially colored ones. Avoid water or other stains, keep the surface clean, and do not expose it to rain.
- Suede
Features: Suede is made by sanding the surface of the leather to create a velvety texture.
Care: Avoid scratches, oil stains, and dirt. Use a soft brush to gently clean the surface and maintain with suede-specific powders or sprays.
- Embossed Snake Pattern Leather
Features: Cowhide is treated with printing, lamination, and embossing techniques to create a snake-like scale pattern. Snake-patterned leather can also be made from lambskin.
Care: Easy to maintain—use leather polish to preserve shine and prevent hardening.
- Ostrich-Patterned Leather
Features: Cowhide is embossed to mimic ostrich skin, with a distinctive textured pattern. However, it is thinner and less stretchy.
Care: Since ostrich-patterned leather lacks a coating, care is similar to waxed leather. Clean and condition with leather wax or cream.
- Crazy Horse Leather
Features: Crazy Horse leather has a rugged, vintage look with an uneven surface. It is soft to the touch and changes color when scratched or bent, creating a dynamic appearance.
Care: Avoid scratches and oil stains. Clean with a dry cloth and condition with leather wax or oil. Keep away from oily substances.
